These U.S. Airports Consistently Have the Best International Flight Deals, New Data Shows-With Fares Up to 90% Off
Briefly

Many common travel hacks rely on intuition rather than data, but large flight-pricing datasets enable evidence-based savings. Going analyzed 80,000 deals sent to over 200 U.S. airports and identified airports that regularly offer steep international discounts. Orlando (MCO), Newark (EWR), and John F. Kennedy (JFK) returned average deals around half off. New York JFK, Boston Logan (BOS), and Los Angeles (LAX) averaged more than six international deals per week, with discounts ranging from 40 to 90 percent. Notable low-cost examples included LAX–Tulum on American Airlines and JFK–Florence on ITA Airways.
There are plenty of travel hacks for saving money out there. Book on a Wednesday, only travel on Tuesdays, spin around and touch your toes to get a 15 percent discount on your next booking. But much of the travel advice we hear is vibes-based, not built on cold, hard data. Fortunately, some sources do have access to the massive volumes of flight pricing information, and those sources can offer real insights to help you book flights as cheaply as humanly possible.
Going, whose goal is helping people find cheap flights, is one of those sources and a bona-fide expert on the matter. "In the past 12 months, we've sent 80,000 deals to more than 200 airports around the country on dozens of airlines," Going travel expert Katy Nastro said in a statement shared with Travel & Leisure. "The team has poured over the data."
With that data, Going identified the best U.S. airports for consistently cheap international flight deals. These are the airports where Going members were frequently finding fares at half the usual price. So next time you're planning a trip abroad, it might be worth routing your departure through one of these: Orlando International Airport (MCO) - Average deal: 48 percent off Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) - 52 percent off John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) - 52 percent off
