"From traditional walking tours through Victorian-era markets at Greenwich and Southbank to exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences at historic palaces adorned with seasonal decorations, the British capital delivers Christmas magic at every turn. It added that the tours in London do not offer the highest language diversity; however, it makes up for this with lower accommodation prices and the "sheer breadth of free festive attractions, including the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree and Covent Garden's decorations.""

Data from Tripadvisor and Kayak were analyzed in November using four factors: number of available tours, median tour price per hour, average languages offered, and average hotel rate per night in December. London ranked first overall, offering traditional walking tours, behind-the-scenes palace experiences, lower accommodation prices, and many free festive attractions such as the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree and Covent Garden decorations. Amsterdam placed second with tours in an average of five languages and a $23 average price per hour. New York City led U.S. cities at 18th globally with a $16 median tour price per hour and tours in 26 languages. Quebec City, Branson, and Savannah also featured among top North American destinations.
