Summer business travel is still on for many, but it might look different this year
Briefly

Business travel demand has shown resilience this summer, according to reports from Navan and TravelPerk. Navan indicated a notable rise in corporate bookings, with a 10% increase in flight bookings and a 25% rise in hotel bookings compared to last year. TravelPerk confirmed a 3% increase in work trip bookings for this period. Executives highlighted June as a particularly busy month, crucial for the professional sector. Despite broader cutbacks in personal travel, companies are maintaining or increasing their travel activities, suggesting a recovery and strategic planning for the future.
"The month of June is the busiest month in the first half of the year, a key time for growth, industry events, and meaningful connections," Eugen Triebelhorn, a country manager at TravelPerk, stated.
Navan found that summer business travel in 2025 is up by double digits compared to 2024, with flight bookings up 10% and hotel bookings up 25%.
