My Luxury Countryside Escape To The Grove Of Narberth
"It had been a tough week, I can't lie. At the tail end of a hectic autumnal period, and with the engines revving up for Christmas, something pretty rough happened. My little rescue Jack Russell terrier, very much the centre of my universe, was attacked by a much bigger dog with a much stronger jaw. The injuries to her neck were life threatening. The stress almost unbearable. The sense of guilt and responsibility unavoidable."
"For the trip from Cardiff we were able to make use of a fully electric BMW iX. This certainly made the journey to the destination part of the pleasure. The iX is sleek on the outside and like a spaceship within. The seat warming function was an indulgent necessity during a very Welsh November. The excellent speakers and radio/bluetooth functionality gave us total freedom on the soundtrack to our adventures. Plus, the elevated and flexible seating made for an extremely comfortable ride."
A severe week culminated when a rescued Jack Russell was gravely injured in an attack, causing high stress and feelings of guilt. The dog recovered with veterinary care and support. A weekend at the Grove of Narberth in Pembrokeshire offered a retreat to the West Wales coast for recuperation and fresh sea air. Travel from Cardiff in a fully electric BMW iX enhanced the journey with heated seats, excellent audio, elevated seating and automatic driving aids. The drive to Narberth proved effortless outside tourist season, providing comfort and calm that complemented the restorative aims of the stay.
