Briefly

LNER plans to expand its Simpler Fares pilot to cover more destinations around London, building on its original launch in January 2024. The pilot replaces traditional Off-Peak and Super Off-Peak fares with three fixed pricing options, aimed to simplify fare structures. Initially available for long-distance routes, the pilot is being extended to include new stations and will work with Govia Thameslink Railway and Transport for London for connectivity. The new Semi-Flexible fare will allow modifications in travel plans, and tickets for the new phase will be available for purchase from August 10, 2025, for travel beginning September 7, 2025.
