Some South Florida water parks are closing, scaling back hours, or staying open for the fall and winter season. Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation runs Calypso Bay and Coconut Cove, both closed for the season. A single dog-friendly opportunity remains: Waggin' at the Waterpark on Saturday, Oct. 4, allowing dogs to swim with owners. The fee is $11 per dog and owners attend free, with a two-dog maximum per adult. Registration opens at 9 a.m., reopens 30 minutes before sessions if spots remain, and owners must sign a waiver. Sessions are 50 minutes and divided by dog weight. Dogs must show current rabies, DHLP and Bordetella vaccinations and wear a collar and license in the pool area. Rapids Water Park opened in 1979 and now offers more than 40 slides.
