Kids ride free on NY Waterway ferries this summer
Briefly

NY Waterway offers free rides for kids under 12 on ferry routes between New Jersey and Manhattan, valid from July 5 to Labor Day. Families can save on travel costs, as up to two children can ride free per paying adult. This initiative aims to improve family-friendly summer travel and offer a traffic-free alternative to city access. The service is available from various ferry terminals, with additional shuttle services in Midtown. An updated mobile app allows for convenient ticket purchases and easy travel planning.
Starting Saturday, July 5, NY Waterway is letting kids under 12 ride completely free on all ferry routes between New Jersey and Manhattan-no strings attached.
NY Waterway's plan to make summer travel more family-friendly and a lot less stressful than crawling through the Lincoln Tunnel includes open-air top decks and skyline views.
The offer is valid on all NY Waterway routes serving Manhattan from ferry terminals in Weehawken, Jersey City, Edgewater and South Amboy.
To keep things seamless, riders are encouraged to download the NY Waterway App 4.0, available on the App Store and Google Play.
