Bright Angel Campground sits near Phantom Ranch beneath cottonwoods and offers a quieter stay on the canyon floor. Only a small fraction of Grand Canyon visitors descend below the rim, with even fewer reaching the river and floor, so crowds diminish deep in the canyon.
