The Caribbean is a diverse vacation destination boasting warm weather, beautiful beaches, and a plethora of activities. Travelers are advised to avoid common pitfalls, such as never leaving their resort, which can limit their experience. Engaging in local attractions and opting for boutique accommodations over all-inclusive resorts can enhance one's vacation. Unique adventures, like exploring historical sites and dining at local restaurants, provide richer experiences. Finally, understanding that each island possesses its own distinct charm and culture is crucial for maximizing enjoyment during the trip.
The Caribbean is full of gorgeous resorts, but one of the biggest mistakes I see first-time visitors make is never leaving the property.
For solo travelers, couples, and families with older kids, I recommend checking out smaller boutique hotels.
Some of my best travel memories have come from staying at smaller properties, like a one-bedroom apartment in Old San Juan.
It's important to remember that each island in the Caribbean carries its own unique character and experiences.
