After a painful divorce she began traveling to heal and rediscover herself, taking a first transatlantic trip to Paris in 2015. Travel created more socialization and romantic opportunities and fulfilled a craving for authentic human connection. A spontaneous decision in Rome in 2018 led to a rapid move: she obtained an Italian codice fiscale, secured housing, arranged for family to manage her salon, and relocated with her daughter and dogs to Rome that summer. Since 2018 she has lived in Italy, Turkey, and Spain.
