I flew from Maui to Molokai, a Hawaiian island known for being quite rural and not touristy, and for being one of three populated islands in Maui County. The commuter plane was small, and the 20-minute flight offered gorgeous aerial views of the islands and surrounding ocean. I would recommend this trip only to travelers who can handle turbulence and who want an off-grid adventure away from typical tourist spots. I grew up on Maui and have spent much of my adult life living in and exploring Hawaii's many islands. Despite that experience, I had never visited Molokai until recently.
