"When we arrived at the new Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico at 1:30 a.m., after a delayed flight, my friend Katrina and I were greeted by a symphonic chorus from the property's resident coquí frogs. "They sing when they're happy," a bellman told us. A quick Google search later debunked the romantic claim-these native amphibians reportedly croon at night to attract mates and mark their territory-but I like to imagine the island's frogs were just as delighted as we were"
"Nestled along the island's northeastern coast in the gated community of Bahía Beach, the sprawling 139-room escape (formerly the St. Regis Bahía Beach Resort) has been thoughtfully reimagined by Four Seasons. The transformation began in the summer of 2025, with several public spaces, including Casa Grande, a two-story arrival pavilion with sweeping ocean views, and eight of the resort's 12 guest buildings, completed in time for the official opening on November 20, 2025."
"What has remained constant throughout the transition is the resort's verdant setting and remarkable wildlife. Set within a 483-acre nature reserve, Four Seasons Puerto Rico encompasses reefs, mangroves, freshwater lakes, tropical forests, a river, and two miles of pristine beach. "We have our very own ecosystem," Molinari says. "At any time, you can come across things you didn't see the day before." During our short stay, we spotted everything from crabs scuttling along the edge of the 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf course"
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico occupies 139 rooms within the gated Bahía Beach community on the island's northeastern coast. The property, formerly the St. Regis Bahía Beach Resort, underwent a transformation beginning in summer 2025 with Casa Grande and eight of 12 guest buildings completed for the November 20, 2025 opening. Renovations continue as a two-and-a-half-year project led by general manager Pablo Molinari, with construction paused until June 2026 and plans to update select restaurants and add an adults-only pool. The resort sits inside a 483-acre nature reserve featuring reefs, mangroves, freshwater lakes, tropical forests, a river, two miles of beach, an 18-hole golf course, and abundant wildlife.
