Four NYC hotels just made the World's 50 Best extended list, including this chic Fifth Avenue property
"New York's hotel scene just scored another bragging right-or four, to be exact. The World's 50 Best Hotels has unveiled its first-ever extended ranking, recognizing the 51-100 best hotels across the globe and four New York icons landed on the list. The glossy lineup includes Aman New York (No. 61), The Carlyle (No. 64), the Fifth Avenue Hotel (No. 75) and the Greenwich Hotel (No. 77)-a mix of uptown legends and downtown favorites that show just how many ways the city defines luxury."
""As we enter our third year, we are delighted to honour even more of the world's most outstanding hotels with the extended 51-100 list," said Emma Sleight, head of content for The World's 50 Best Hotels. "The dedication and passion of the hotel industry means it is constantly growing and improving, so it is incredibly difficult for our judges to vote for just seven properties.""
"The rankings are determined by votes from more than 800 anonymous experts, including hoteliers, travel journalists, educators and luxury travelers from around the world. The new list spans 24 territories and 40 cities, with Europe and Asia leading the pack, but North America held its own-especially New York, which was home to more recognized hotels than any other city on the continent."
