Eurostar is bringing back trains from London to the Alps
"Eurostar Snow, which runs from London all the way to Bourg-Saint-Maurice in the southeast of France (with one change), will return on December 20 and run until April 4. The special alpine service will depart from St Pancras every Saturday at 9.01am and there'll be an easy connection at Lille for passengers to head on through the French Alps towards Bourg-Saint-Maurice."
"Skiers will be glad to know that the train has generous luggage allowance, including two suitcases, one piece of hand luggage, and skis or a snowboard at no extra cost. Like any other Eurostar service, there's also a Eurostar Café on board both the trains from London to Lille and Lille to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. At the moment, tickets for Eurostar Snow start at £125 one-way. Premier tickets, which include lounge access, extra spacious seats, fine dining and drinks, start from £436.60."
Eurostar Snow will operate between London St Pancras and Bourg-Saint-Maurice from December 20 to April 4 with weekly Saturday departures. The outward train leaves St Pancras at 9.01am with a connection at Lille and stops at Chambéry, Albertville, Moûtiers, Aime‑La‑Plagne and Landry; the journey takes roughly eight hours. Return services depart Bourg‑Saint‑Maurice Saturdays at 1.45pm and Sundays at 10.54pm. The service permits two suitcases, one piece of hand luggage and skis or a snowboard at no extra cost and features an onboard Eurostar Café. Standard fares start at £125 one‑way; Premier fares from £436.60 include lounge access and dining.
