Deutsche Bahn and sheep: A German summer travel adventure DW 07/27/2025
Briefly

A vacation to the North Sea island of Fohr initially seemed ideal, allowing a break from current events. The journey began positively with an on-time train from Berlin. However, upon reaching Niebull, unexpected changes forced passengers to move to a crowded regional train to continue to Dagebull. Despite the lack of information about the changes, there was a sense of resilience as the travelers adapted to the travel issues. The initial relaxation of the trip was marred by the cumbersome shift of luggage.
Getting our suitcases off the fast train and onto the hopelessly overcrowded regional train was not exactly how we had imagined the start of our vacation.
Our train left Berlin on time, and we got as far as Niebull. In this small town in North Frisia, the train is separated into two parts.
