Passengers remain ashore while a team attempts to refloat the ship and inspects the hull and marine environment. The vessel is under investigation after 80-year-old Suzanne Rees disappeared from a hiking excursion on Lizard Island and was later found dead; the ship turned back once her absence was noticed. The cruise operator cancelled the remainder of the voyage and issued refunds.
