Beginning this month, AAdvantage members receive free high-speed, satellite-based Wi-Fi on more than 2 million American Airlines flights annually, sponsored by AT&T. Rollout will occur in phases: starting in January the airline will equip 100% of narrowbody and dual-class regional fleets, with availability on nearly every flight by early spring. Customers access the service through an upgraded aainflight.com portal by logging in with their AAdvantage number and password and selecting "Free Wi-Fi." Nonmembers can join AAdvantage for free at aa.com or inflight, unlocking Wi-Fi and loyalty benefits like priority boarding, earning miles, and award redemptions.
