Airlines and credit card companies are enhancing the traveler experience by introducing 'lounge-within-a-lounge' concepts that include private, reservable spaces. Air France has launched private suites in its La Première lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle, which feature luxurious amenities such as spacious living areas and dedicated butlers. Delta Air Lines has also opened an exclusive check-in area for Delta One customers at Los Angeles International Airport, providing white-glove assistance and a special TSA lane. Additional services include VIP concierges for specific corporate customers.
The best spaces feel more like high-end hospitality than a pre-flight pit stop. In order to cater to different tiers of travelers, both airlines and credit card companies have debuted new 'lounge-within-a-lounge' concepts—reservable, private spaces ideal for a power lunch or power nap.
Last year, Air France introduced private suites within its already-exclusive La Première lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). These 500-square-foot sanctuaries feature spacious living areas, bedrooms with double beds, outdoor patios, and dedicated butlers.
