I visited Iceland three times in the past year and soaked in the country's famous geothermal lagoons on multiple trips. The Blue Lagoon felt otherworldly but was a very busy, popular tourist attraction. The Sky Lagoon is a 15-minute drive from downtown Reykjavík and offered a peaceful, calming experience. The lagoon visits became a highlight of each trip, with natural warm waters and scenic surroundings. I have been to two different lagoons, but only the tranquil Sky Lagoon inspires repeated visits and remains the preferred spot to return to again and again.
