"Situated on top of the Post Building, the 9th floor roof garden offers clear views across much of north, east and south London - although not so much to the east. That still gives you great views of the British Museum's domed roof, the BT Tower, in the far distance the Wembley Arch, across to the City, and you can just about make out the Orbit tower in Stratford."
"The roof terrace is open daily from 10am to 7pm (or dusk when earlier) and is totally free to visit. They will ask for ID when you go in, and there's the usual security bag check - but then you're directed to the lift and straight up 9 floors to the roof garden. I popped in the other day as I was in the area, and as there's no fussing with tickets and the like, it's a nice free time filler."
The 9th-floor roof garden atop the Post Building offers free public access with expansive views across north, south and west London, though eastward visibility is limited. Visible landmarks include the British Museum dome, BT Tower, Wembley Arch, the City skyline, the Orbit tower, Crystal Palace and Battersea. The terrace is open daily from 10am to 7pm (or dusk), requires ID and a security bag check, and is reached by lift. The space is lightly used, includes a toilet, and risks reduced opening hours if visitor numbers remain low. The entrance is on New Oxford Street.
