USA: The Routing Company powers a 132-vehicles on-demand transit service in Rochester
Briefly

The Routing Company (TRC) has launched an on-demand transit service in collaboration with the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority (RGRTA), marking a significant shift in public transportation across the Rochester area. This initiative aims to serve rural communities with a fleet of 132 vehicles and will operate on-demand and deviated routing from various properties. The service is powered by TRC's Pingo platform, facilitating real-time ride booking and optimized routing to improve accessibility and convenience for riders, particularly in underserved areas. TRC ranks 13th among global demand-responsive transit providers as of 2024.
This partnership is a major milestone for on-demand transit, and we are proud to partner with RGRTA to redefine how mobility is delivered in the Rochester area.
Through this partnership, TRC's Pingo platform powers a service that bridges mobility gaps, particularly in rural and underserved communities, offering real-time ride booking and optimized routing.
