The Pink Parachute, a pottery painting and craft studio in Hornchurch, founded in 2015, celebrates ten years of operation. Rav Ahtti took over just over a year later, facing significant challenges during the Covid pandemic but managing to survive through innovative strategies like takeaway kits. With plans to expand into Brentwood and over 200 pottery items available for customers, Rav emphasizes the studio's unique environment, which leaves visitors relaxed and content after their visits. The milestone anniversary highlights both the resilience of the business and the joy it brings to the community.
I think when people come in, they don't know what to expect but when they leave after an hour and a half session, they're so relaxed and calm and that's really nice.
Covid was really tough for us with no customers allowed in. We had a counter for takeaway kits and we were even driving to people's houses... I don't know how we managed to get through it.
