"Each of the ice blocks weighed about 300 lb., and were a uniform size, she said: 50 centimetres by 101 centimetres by 25 centimetres."
"The ice isn't the typical kind you'd find in a freezer. It is 'crystal clear' typically used for ice carving or ice sculpting."
Drake's ice installation in downtown Toronto consisted of 3,500 blocks of ice, transported from Iceculture Inc. in Huron County. The project, a marketing strategy for his album Iceman, attracted large crowds. Fans used tools to search for the album's launch date hidden in the ice. Iceculture Inc., known for large-scale ice projects, has been in business since 1991, creating ice sculptures and blocks. Each block weighed 300 lb and was crafted for clarity, suitable for sculpting.
