Maitri Provides Relief for South Asian Women Facing Abuse

Maitri, a nonprofit organization founded by four South Asian women in 1991, has spent 34 years addressing domestic violence within South Asian communities. Initially starting with a simple referral service, the organization quickly identified the inadequacies of mainstream support systems for culturally specific issues faced by South Asian women. As they prepare for their annual gala, expectations are high for raising significant funds, allowing Maitri to continue their vital work in combating domestic violence and providing necessary resources for affected individuals.
