RJ Luis Jr., a standout player for St. John's, has decided to remain in the NBA draft without considering a return to college, according to his father. After an impressive junior season, where he averaged 18.2 points and earned All-American honors, Luis aims to turn pro, despite ending his college career on a disappointing note with a poor performance in the NCAA tournament. His decision reflects a solid plan for his future, even in the face of financial incentives to return to college.
"There will be no change of heart," Luis' father told Goodman. "RJ's excited about the future. He's appreciative of St. John's, Coach Pitino, and the fans. He wants to leave college as Johnnie."
Luis had a breakout junior campaign... earned numerous accolades for his efforts, including consensus All-American second-team honors and Big East Player of the Year.
