The 2024-25 SEC men’s basketball season concluded with impressive results; the conference achieved a record 14 NCAA tournament bids, reflecting its competitive excellence. The grading of teams considered their performance against preseason expectations. Alabama, despite a strong offensive showing and a trip to the Elite Eight, fell short of the expected title due to rival performances. Similarly, Auburn, which led the rankings through much of the season, lost in the Final Four but demonstrated remarkable strength under Coach Bruce Pearl.
With a record-setting 14 NCAA tournament bids in 2024-25, it's no surprise the SEC earned the most A grades of the five conferences we've covered, and only the second without a single F.
