Norm Roberts, a prominent player in college basketball coaching, announced his retirement after almost 40 years. He is celebrated for his tenure as an assistant coach at Kansas under Bill Self, where he contributed to numerous accolades, including seven Big 12 regular-season titles and a national championship in 2022. His coaching journey included leading St. John's and briefly working at Florida. Acknowledged for his pivotal role in player development and scouting, Roberts has significantly influenced the basketball community and looks forward to spending time with his family post-retirement.
I’ve been fortunate that I’ve never worked a day in my life. Being able to coach at Kansas and be part of this program has been unbelievable.
This is a bittersweet moment for me because Norm and I have been together since 1995. Norm has played a key role to our success at all of the stops we've had together.
