Fabian Zetterlund recently traded to the Ottawa Senators is already asking for a contract raise. The Senators acquired him from the San Jose Sharks, where he led his team in scoring. Zetterlund's current contract is set to expire, and he hopes to improve on his previous $1.45 million deal. Despite initial adjustment challenges, he found it easy to integrate into the Senators, feeling welcomed by his new teammates. His agent, Claude Lemieux, is also connected with teammate Tim Stützle, who reportedly took Zetterlund under his wing.
I would say it's been great. It felt like I stepped into a big, big family... the group is so tight and so close with each other.
He has a decent case: he led the Sharks in goals in 2023-24 with 24 tallies and 44 points.
