Paul Maurice on drawing the Maple Leafs in Round 2: "There are some similarities to [Tampa]: Really high-end skill, good goaltending, and good defensive structure"
Briefly

After a practice day, Panthers coach Paul Maurice spoke about the tough challenge posed by the Maple Leafs in the upcoming playoffs. He acknowledged the elite skill level of the Leafs and their solid goaltending and defense. Maurice expressed pride in former Panthers players now with Toronto, highlighting their contributions and new opportunities. Reflecting on last season's victory parade, he discussed the inevitability of player departures and the bittersweet feelings associated with it, ultimately leading to a positive outlook with new signings.
It's another tough test, obviously. There is really high-end, elite skill. They have good goaltending. They have a good defensive structure to their team.
Both of those men, Steven Lorentz and Anthony Stolarz, are at a new level and a new opportunity with Toronto. They've made the most of it. They've played very, very well.
You knew it. You weren't shocked by it. It was inevitable that it was going to happen.
Everyone was in a pretty good mood after that one. We got over it.
