Michael Pezzetta scores in OT, Marlies take commanding 2-0 series lead in AHL's Eastern Conference Finals

Toronto defeated Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 2-1 in overtime in Game 2 to take a 2-0 series lead heading to Game 3 in Toronto. With 5:07 left in overtime, the fourth line produced the winner for the second straight game. Michael Pezzetta recorded his third playoff goal and second game-winning goal in as many contests. William Villeneuve initiated the play from his own blue line, finding Vinni Lettieri in the neutral zone, leading to Pezzetta’s lofted shot over Sergei Murashov. Toronto scored first on the power play at 1:39 of the first period when Alex Nylander scored his fourth postseason goal from a cross-ice pass by Luke Haymes.
