Michael Pezzetta on joining his hometown Maple Leafs: "I am insanely fired up... It's surreal that I'll get to put the Leafs sweater on"
Briefly

Pezzetta is excited to have signed with Toronto, viewing it as a lifelong dream. He acknowledges the competitive nature of securing a roster spot and is committed to preparing for training camp. He describes his defensive game as a key strength, having a history of providing solid contributions despite inconsistent lineup appearances. Pezzetta prides himself on being difficult to play against and aims to change the momentum of games through physical play. He attributes his success in the NHL to hard work, self-belief, and a love for improvement.
I am super excited to sign in Toronto. It is a lifelong dream of mine. They have a great hockey team, and for myself coming in, I just want to earn my roster spot and make sure I am ready to go at camp time.
A lot of my game is about being hard to play against, and being someone who is defensively responsible and the coach can trust. You can go out there and change the shift of a game with a big hit or a good forecheck.
I think it was just about always believing in myself and putting the work in, especially in the summer and during the seasons. I am in love with getting better and the grind.
