"Thrun was acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks last summer, in exchange for Ryan Reaves. The 25-year-old did not record a point in four games with the Maple Leafs. Thrun posted four goals and 20 points in 42 games with the Marlies this season."
Pezzetta, a 28-year-old enforcer who signed a two-year contract with the Maple Leafs in July, fought in his season debut against Anaheim and recorded four goals and ten points in 37 games with the Marlies. Thrun, a 25-year-old acquired from San Jose in exchange for Ryan Reaves, posted four goals and twenty points in 42 games with the Marlies this season and was called up on an emergency basis for Sunday's game. Both players represent opportunities for the Marlies to break into the Maple Leafs' lineup over the final twelve games, as the organization evaluates roster composition for the 2026-27 season.
