Chris Tanev on whether he would like to play with brother Brandon, a pending UFA: "We would probably argue quite a bit"
Briefly

Chris Tanev shared insights from his first season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, highlighting his enjoyment of playing in his hometown amidst a passionate fan base. He acknowledged the disappointment of the season ending without playoff success and discussed the intense media and fan pressure intrinsic to Canadian hockey. Tanev compared the pressure in Toronto to experiences in Calgary and Vancouver, recognizing similar challenges yet embracing the unique vibe in each city. He attributed his calmness on the ice to his nature off it, contributing to his continued growth as a skilled defenseman.
Tanev: It was a really good experience playing in the city I grew up in. There is a really passionate fan base and really, really great people and support throughout the city.
Tanev: I have played in Canada for 14.5 out of my 15 years. There is pressure. It comes with the territory of being in a country where hockey is the biggest sport.
Tanev: I feel like I am a fairly calm person off the ice. That sort of translates to my game on the ice.
Tanev: I don’t know if it has anything to do with why the team hasn’t broken through. We played an extremely good team that is the Stanley Cup champs.
