Jeff Hoffman, originally drafted by the Jays in 2014, struggled through parts of five seasons with the Rockies and two with the Reds before finding some stability with the Phillies. Signed by the Blue Jays for three seasons at $33 million, Hoffman's initial stats showed a rough May with a 13.50 ERA and three blown saves. From June onward, he improved to a 1.50 ERA with eight saves, maintaining a strikeout rate of 32.9% but allowing double the home runs compared to last year, with more hard and soft contact as well.
