A refurbished Scarborough Rapid Transit (SRT) car was unveiled at the Toronto Zoo and will open as the Tundra Zoomobile Station stop in early December. The SRT permanently closed in September 2023 after a derailment; Line 3 ran six stations over more than six kilometres and served millions in the east end for nearly 40 years. Zoo guests can access the car while waiting for the Zoomobile. Toronto city councillors, TTC partners, and zoo leadership emphasized the car's cultural and historical importance and the role of transit in connecting communities. Nearby residents praised the investment and the chance to relive memories.
