Toronto FC has announced the mutual separation from forward Federico Bernardeschi, using one of their designated buyouts permitted per MLS season. The 31-year-old forward joined the club from Juventus midway through the 2022 season as a designated player. General manager Jason Hernandez expressed that both parties agreed it was an appropriate time to part ways. During his time at Toronto, Bernardeschi scored 25 goals and provided 12 assists across 88 appearances, while this season he recorded four goals and four assists in 15 matches.
