Swift held six sold-out shows in Toronto for 240,000 concertgoers in November 2024 as part of her massive Eras Tour. Globally, the tour is estimated to have made over $2 billion in ticket sales with 10 million attendees."
"A briefing note to council by the city's department of economic development and culture looked at the total impact of Swiftonomics and any lessons learned for future large-scale events. Spending during the city's 10-day concert period was spread across sectors, including restaurants, movie theatres, clothing stores and hotels, according to Moneris, a point-of-sale management company."
"Of the total $282 million in economic impact, $152 million was a result of direct spending for the event, of which 93 per cent came from non-Toronto visitors, according to Destination Toronto, which tracks and promotes tourism in the city. It said local fans contributed about $11 million in direct spending."
