"The province's police watchdog is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in North York Wednesday. In a news release Thursday, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said Toronto Police Service officers were called to the area of Jane Street and Highway 401 for a domestic violence investigation at approximately 11:30 p.m. Toronto police officers tried to locate and arrest the man in an apartment unit when he was found on the ground below, the SIU said in Thursday's release."
