
"A second person has been arrested in the shooting death of an eight-year-old boy who was struck by a stray bullet while in bed last month, police said. JahVai Roy was lying in bed with his mother when he was struck inside his apartment near Martha Eaton Way and Trethewey Drive just after midnight on Aug. 16. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Earlier this month, police arrested a 16-year-old and charged him with first-degree murder and five firearm offences."
"Two other young people were identified in relation to the case. On Friday, Toronto police said in a news release that one of the outstanding suspects was located and arrested. Officers carried out a search warrant in London, Ont., on Thursday to locate the individual. That person has been charged with first-degree murder, police said. They were scheduled to appear in court Friday morning. Police said the third suspect remains outstanding. They ask anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers."
