"Niagara Falls will shine blue this weekend in support of the Toronto Blue Jays after the team advanced to the World Series for the first time in 32 years. On Friday and Saturday, the Niagara Falls Illumination Board, will light the falls in the Jays' iconic blue colour starting at 8 p.m. just in time for the "first pitch of Game 1 and 2 of the series, which will be played in Toronto," according to the board."
"The board is a century-old, Canadian-American collaboration to keep the falls illuminated all year. "Niagara Parks and Niagara Falls Tourism had the honour of hosting the Blue Jays during their winter tour in January 2023, including current players Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Chris Bassitt, which also included a special illumination of the Falls in celebration of the team," the board said."
Niagara Falls will be lit blue on Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 8 p.m. to honor the Toronto Blue Jays after their advance to the World Series, timed with the first pitches of Games 1 and 2 in Toronto. The illumination plan was organized by the Niagara Falls Illumination Board in partnership with Niagara Falls Tourism and Niagara Parks. The Blue Jays visited Niagara Falls in January 2023, during which players and a special illumination marked the visit. The Illumination Board is a century-old Canadian-American collaboration formed in 1925, continuing a lighting tradition that began in 1860.
