
"More recalls have been issued for products containing pistachios in Ontario due to possible salmonella contamination, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The agency issued a list of six products Friday evening which it said the public should not use, sell, serve, distribute or consume. Anyone who has the products should throw them out or return them, said the CFIA."
"Of the six products, four were sold in Ottawa: three baked goods at Ottawa's La Brioche, sold between July 16 and Aug. 4, and a pistachio gelato at Amore Gelato, sold between April 28 and Aug. 31. The two other recalled products were pistachios from Mississauga's East India Company Ltd. and a pistachio cake sold at Loblaws and Zehrs stores across Ontario between July 22 and Sept. 25."

As of Sept. 24, 105 people were ill and 16 hospitalized; the investigation and public-health updates remain ongoing online.
