Additional runs came from a sacrifice fly by Geovanny Planchart and back-to-back home runs by prospects Yohendrick Piñango and Eddie Micheletti in the seventh and eighth innings. The Blue Jays' bullpen performed well, with multiple relievers recording strikeouts and limiting Pirates scoring.
