Anthony Santander signed with the Toronto Blue Jays ahead of 2025 to provide middle-of-order power but has produced only six home runs in 50 games. A shoulder injury curtailed his season and limited his contributions. Santander is now reported to be making real progress in his recovery and is doing full baseball activities, including hitting, running and fielding drills. He will travel with the team to Cincinnati and the plan is to begin a rehab assignment soon. The Blue Jays hope he can return later in September and potentially provide an under-the-radar boost as the team fights in the AL East race.
