Fire shuts down TTC service at several Line 1 and Line 2 stations | CBC News
"Service between several Line 2 and on Line 1 subway stations in Toronto are temporarily shut down Tuesday morning due to a fire at Bloor-Yonge station, said the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) on social media. Shuttle buses will be running between St George and Broadview stations on Line 2 and Rosedale and College on Line 1, said the TTC. It said shuttle buses will not be stopping at Bloor-Yonge Station."
"A TTC repair car caught fire on the eastbound platform at Bloor-Yonge Station, said Toronto Fire to CBC News. Emergency personnel responded after receiving calls around 5:30 a.m., but TTC employees were able to extinguish the fire themselves. No injuries have been reported, said fire officials. Firefighters will remain on scene to monitor the scenario, said Toronto Fire. The TTC said service at Bay station is also closed due to heavy smoke from the fire."
