
"A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy inside a Tim Hortons in Scarborough, police say. The accused, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was also charged with possession of a firearm without a licence and possession of a loaded regulated firearm, Toronto police said in a news release. He was due to appear in court on Tuesday."
"Kian Sam, the victim, died in hospital. He is the city's second homicide victim of the year. According to the police, the shooting happened in a Tim Hortons restaurant in the area of Lawrence Avenue E. and Bellamy Road N. last Thursday. Officers were called to the scene shortly after 4 p.m. When they arrived, they found Sam suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was pronounced dead."
