An unearned run scored in the first after Bryan Rincon doubled, Aroon Escobar singled, and Stanifer committed a throwing error on a pickoff attempt. He struck out the side in the second and added strikeouts in later innings, including ending his outing by striking out Dante Nori and Rincon. The Fisher Cats tied the game on Victor Arias’s home run, but Reading later regained the lead, leaving Stanifer with a no-decision.
