"Off the field, he has guided the team through a major stadium renovation. From the field, to the stands, to the suites, Rogers Centre has been completely remodeled over the last few years and there are more changes still to come. Anyone that has been to the stadium in since 2021 can't deny that those renovations have made Rogers Centre feel more like a modern baseball venue than at any other time in the facilities history."
Rogers Communications renewed Mark Shapiro's contract for five years as President and CEO of the Toronto Blue Jays. Edward Rogers praised Shapiro's leadership and cited momentum and organizational resources aimed at returning World Series championships to Canada. Shapiro's professional baseball career began in 1991 in Cleveland player development, and he has led the Blue Jays since 2015, overseeing major franchise milestones. The organization completed a substantial Rogers Centre renovation since 2021, modernizing field, stands and suites, with additional changes planned. The front office has been active this offseason making roster adjustments to improve the on-field product under Shapiro's continued stewardship.
