Connor Seabold was added to the Toronto Blue Jays’ 26-man roster ahead of the series opener against the Baltimore Orioles. He was acquired from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for pitching prospect Juanmi Vasquez and will join the active roster for the Baltimore series. Seabold previously spent much of spring training with Toronto after signing a minor league contract, posting a 6.75 ERA over 6 1/3 innings before electing free agency and signing with Detroit. With the Tigers, he appeared 11 times, working exclusively in relief, going 1-0 with a 3.45 ERA and 1.40 WHIP over 15 2/3 innings. In a related move, Chase Lee was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo after struggling with command in two appearances for Toronto.
