Toronto’s Florida Complex League team is leading its division two months into the season, posting a 12-3 record through 15 games. The team holds a four-game lead in the FCL North division and has the best league winning percentage at .800. Several players have contributed early, including Canadian Tim Piasentin, Franklin Rojas, and Giacomo Taschin. Sam White, a left-handed first baseman who turned 22, has produced a .289/.411/.556 line with three home runs and three doubles in 56 plate appearances, despite a 26.8% strikeout rate. Pascual Archila, an outfielder, is hitting .302/.500/.442 with a home run and three doubles in 61 plate appearances, with a 29.5% strikeout rate but strong walk rates.
