She announced the casting via a TikTok caption expressing gratitude and excitement. She previously performed on Dancing With the Stars with professional partner Mark Ballas, presenting Broadway numbers including "Popular" from Wicked and "Cell Block Tango" from Chicago. She told Alex Cooper that a dance she performed on the show "is going to come to life." Several former Dancing With the Stars contestants have previously taken on the role of Roxie Hart.
